HAI is running a small project with the Pak-Hindu refugee families camping in Majnu ka Tila, Delhi. Recently, HAI started diya (lamp) making training for the adolescent girls, so that they could make it an enterprise prior to the festival of Diwali. The activity has been appreciated widely and also helped in building esteem of the adolescent girls. HAI is not going to stop here. Now the girls will be organised into a group, so that more market oriented vocational training could be provided to them, which eventually helps them to become financially independent.
This activity has been covered by India Times. The published story could be read here.
