Founder and CEO
With over 36 years of experience in development, humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction, and advocacy across the Asia-Pacific, including India, Nepal, and Afghanistan Mr Singh cemented his roots in New Delhi, India as the founder and CEO of Humanitarian Aid International. Formerly based in Geneva, engaged in global processes like Core Humanitarian Standards, he managed complex emergencies, developed country strategies, and led disaster responses globally. Skilled in fundraising, donor relations, and collaborating with governments, with a focus on rights-based approaches in program management, Mr Singh is a disruptive advocate for localisation and equitable development.

Meenakshi Batra
Mrs Meenakshi Batra, currently serving as the HAI Board member, is an international development professional with three decades of diverse global experience. She has a Post-Graduation in Child Development and Family Welfare. She has served in various leadership roles with International Development and humanitarian agencies like DFID (UK Aid) and KRIBHCO across the globe. Her last role was as chief executive of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India, a member of CAF Global Alliance.

PV Krishnan
Mr Kishanan has an MBA with business leadership in the global not-for-profit and sustainable development sector with over 25 years of progressive experience. He serves as our board member. He has led many organisations such as a ‘Director-- Grameen Foundation Country, Managing Director- Digital Green, and Chief Operating Officer- Population Foundation of India. In addition to this, he has 15 + years of experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Action which include being involved in humanitarian response to major calamities in the region including the Tsunami in A&N Islands 2005, Koshi Floods 2008, Gujarat Earthquake 2001, Assam Floods 2002, Bengal Floods 1998, 2003.

Sudhanshu S Singh
Mr. Sudhanshu has over 36 years of national and global experience in the humanitarian and development sectors. Before coming back to India to establish HAI, he was based in Geneva managing the Asia-Pacific desk for a global alliance. In that role, he was engaged in managing almost all major natural and human-induced disasters across the world. Sudhanshu has been part of almost all key global processes including Agenda4Humanity, Grand Bargain, Charter4Change, Pledge4Change, World Humanitarian Action Forum, Start Network, BOND etc. Sudhanshu has authored several papers to influence national and global humanitarian architecture.

Sudhir Kumar
Mr Sudhir Kumar (B.E Mechanical) is a business partner of Kumar Steel Inc. He has been HAI’s board member /Treasurer since 10/10/2020. He is also one of the directors of Kundli Stainless Steel Cluster Services Pvt Ltd. He is also an advisor of the Social Umbrella Foundation and I Bat think tank. He is one of our COVID warriors who served 144,000 people through food distribution during the lockdown through 3 kitchens.

Ashok Kumar Seth
Mr Ashok Kumar Seth is an Retired Director of Finance and Assurance & General Counsel with many specialisations few to name- an MBA Specialised in Financial Management and an LL.B (Professional Law Degree) from Law Centre II, Delhi University. He is one of our board members. He has headed finances in many organisations such as Save the Children UK –India Office, Regional Accountant for Asia on Secondment - Stationed in London office. Currently, he is also contributing to special projects in Plan International (India Chapter).

Mr. Arockiam has been a board member since the beginning. He retired from Caritas India after leading its humanitarian programme for several decades. Now he is enjoying his retired life in the city of Hyderabad.

Nandani Bahri Dhanda
Mrs Nandini Bahri Dhanda comes with a wide experience in design and architecture. She holds a Bachelor Of Arts: French, History And Politics from JNU - School Of Languages. She has 35+ years of experience in prestigious architectural projects, Design Planning, Material Requirements and Determination, Vendor Subcontracting, Contractor Oversight, Material Cost Estimates, Construction Work and Inspection of project sites. With time she has also developed strong relationships with local artisans and craftsmen across India.
